1.
Prizes for a
FLOAT entered for an FFA or 4-H Group will be:
FIRST PRIZE:
$75.00 SECOND PRIZE: $50.00
$25.00 will be paid
to all other entries in this group from the Solanco area who does not receive
the first or second prize.
2. Other FLOAT categories eligible for prize
money are:
SCOUTS
SCHOOLS
(other than FFA, 4-H, and scout groups)
COMMERCIAL
NON-COMMERCIAL
CHURCH-SPONSORED
FIRE
COMPANY AND AMBULANCE ASSOCIATIONS
EQUESTRIAN
3. Baton
groups will be judged separately.
4. Prizes
for the above float categories and baton groups will be:
FIRST:
$75.00, SECOND: $50.00, THIRD: $25.00
5. Participants should identify their
floats with a sign on the front or sides of the float.
6. Judges evaluate each float or entry
based upon the following:

TO THEME – 40%

Purpose
of the theme is to give a unified focus for entry designs
and
to give the parade an overall “look”.
Let your float design demonstrate your ability for creativity through
animation.

7. School marching bands will be judged in
a separate category.
