BABY PARADE

September 20, 2012

Registration 6 PM - Parade 7 PM

Rain Schedule – In the case of rain during  fair week the below schedule will be followed. In case of rain Wednesday the Street Parade is rescheduled for Thursday night and the Baby Parade will be held Friday morning at 10 AM.  Registration at 9 AM, prejudging at 9:15 AM.  Or, if it rains Thursday night, the Baby Parade will be rescheduled for Friday morning.  If the Baby Parade is rescheduled Friday, it will be held indoors in case of bad weather.

1. Any child 6 years of age and under is eligible to participate.
2. PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED.  Division and class to be entered must be indicated on entry blank.  Entry blanks shall be mailed to:  Barbara Tollinger, 1108 Dry Wells Road Quarryville PA  17566.  NO phone entries will be accepted.
3. Only one entry form is required for a pair or a group
   of children.  In walking division, more than one in a group will be classified as “Best Team”. All entrants must be registered and wearing a registration number to be eligible for prizes.  Participants must complete the parade to be eligible for prizes.
4. All contestants in the walking division MUST walk or be carried.  If a child is being pulled or pushed by another child or adult, they cannot enter the Walking Division.
5. All Floats or Vehicles on Wheels must be hand pulled. Live animals are prohibited.
6. Entrants with platform built on wheels must enter Division B.I – Float (over 4’x4’) or Division B.II – Mini-Float (4’x4’ or smaller). Division C – Vehicles on Wheels includes any decorated vehicle easily identified as a wagon, stroller, wheel barrow, etc.
7. The parade beings at 7 PM.  Contestants must report for registration at 6 PM.  Prejudging at 6:15 PM at the fair grounds.  Registration deadline is September 8, 2011.  A category may not be changed after the registration deadline date.
8. No entrants will be accepted after prejudging begins.
9. Only one person may accompany the entrant.  Two, if someone is needed to pull the entry.
10. Judging will be based on 25% Theme and Overall Appearance, 25% workmanship and Effort, 25% Costumes and 25% Decorative Creativity.
11. The Committee reserves the right to reject any entry not meeting their approval.  Contestant parking will be available.  Enter at upper driveway near the pond.  Parking stickers mailed with entry verification should be put on windshield above inspection sticker.
